She condemned the hypocrisy and cowardice of activists and political leaders on the Left who had refused to acknowledge the possibility of racism in similarly horrific attacks in the past but who are now eagerly decrying the recent attacks as racist acts inspired by former President Donald Trump’s coronavirus rhetoric.
